Why Are Your Website Templates So Big?

One of the most common questions/comments we get at Web In A Minute about our website templates is “I’m just getting started with my website design – why do I need all the pages included in your web templates?”.

Yep, our web templates are big, averaging 40 to 70 page layouts. We started out that way over ten years ago, and the only change was when we introduced our “Mini Website Templates” earlier this year. Our reason now and then is that we assume that when you start a website, you are going to keep it and grow it to success over the years…

There is an old saying – “it’s not WHAT you say that counts, it’s HOW you say it that matters” – we choose to interpret this as the advertising industry does, with an emphasis on how the ad, or in our case, the web page, looks. With many years of experience, we know that the appearance of a website is important. When a prospective customer or user lands on your site, they will almost always click away if it looks amateurish or unappealing. First impressions DO count.

MANY of our clients are individuals or companies who have had their website for a period of time and now they want to update it with a ‘more professional look’. This almost always requires them to start over, a painful, time-consuming task. We made up our minds in the beginning that our clients should never have to go through this exercise. We want you to have the flexibility of many layouts, both in the beginning and as time goes on. So we give you dozens of page layout choices, with enough options to choose ‘just the right page design’ to say (or present) whatever message you need to, without having to learn the complex art of website design. We also make it simple to change the actual ‘look’, by being able to easily change colors and imagery.

Taking our philosophy a step further, we also added what we call ‘Industry Web Templates“. The template designs focus on a particular industry, or topic, such as Church web design, Real Estate webs, Building and Construction websites, Travel, Lodging, Bed and Breakfast webs, and several others, such as Political templates. Each of these industries have more complex needs than the average information or retail site, which our other template designs target.

The ‘industry templates’ are designed with every page or layout we could find or think of that relates to the needs of that particular industry or topic. These web templates are over 100 pages, and we will add new topics as the need arises.

If you have a specialized need, contact us and we will happily discuss it with you. If your topic represents one that many others can use, we will cost-share the development with you. Just email us at sales@webinaminute.com, and put ‘Custom Industry Template” in the subject, and if you have additional questions about the other templates, let us know and we’ll do everything we can to answer the questions or resolve your website design needs.
